Returning to Live Theater Safely

We believe live theater will never be replaced. The whole production is such a great learning space and opportunity for students to let their creativity flourish. Sadly, many stages are lying dormant these days and potentially will stay that way for the upcoming semesters. Educators everywhere are trying to determine the safest course of action for students and teachers coming back together.
If you have a theater department, operations will need to change when that day does come. Thankfully, we found some suggestions from the pros for you. Actors’ Equity, the union representing 51,000 actors and stage managers in live theater since 1913, has recently released four core principles for coming back to the stage. Your students aren’t on Broadway (yet) but we hope these principles will be helpful for you to get back on the stage safely.
